The shape of the helix (spiral) can be spotted everywhere in nature. It can be seen in flowers, shells, animals, weather patterns and even in our DNA. The helix structure is incredibly strong and resilient.
A wonderful example of the resilient helix is when a delicate plant comes across a stone in the ground. The plant does not give up despite its fragility. Instead, it twists and turns into the shape of a helix until it finds a way to overcome the barrier.
I believe that children embody the strength and resilience of the helix. Children are so creative that they can find a hundred different ways to solve a problem. Play Therapy allows children to overcome their personal barriers, and get back to enjoying life.
